Join us for dinner on International Workers' Day May 1st. This May 1st holiday commemorates the hundreds of thousands of workers across the country went on strike in 1886, demanding better working conditions and shorter working hours. This strike helped to give us our 8 hour work day. This day is celebrated to remind us of the valuable role that workers play in our society. It brings attention to important issues, such as better working conditions, fair wages, and shorter working hours, that are important for the well-being of workers Please join us to show your support for all workers with our guest speaker State Senator JD Ford! It will be held at the community building at the Bartholomew County 4-H Fairgrounds. Doors open at 6pm. Dinner begins at 6:30. Students join and eat for free. All regular tickets will be $20.
