COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team (JNET) says it seized over 100 combined grams of cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl on Thursday resulting in a husband and wife being incarcerated.
JNET had been looking into Christopher Riddle, 46, of Columbus, for allegedly dealing drugs from his apartment in the 600 block of California Street. He was on parole from the Indiana Department of Corrections. He was sentenced in 2023 for unlawful firearm possession by a serious felon and dealing in cocaine or narcotics.
After obtaining a search warrant on Thursday, investigators from JNET and the Columbus Police Department Intelligence Led Policing Unit searched Riddle’s home with the assistance of a Parole officer. Law enforcement allegedly found about 33 grams of cocaine, 40 grams of meth, 29 grams of fentanyl, five grams of K2 spice, and drug paraphernalia.
Christopher Riddle was arrested on the preliminary charges of:
- Dealing cocaine (level 2 felony)
- Dealing methamphetamine (level 2 felony)
- Dealing a narcotic drug (level 2 felony)
- Maintaining a common nuisance (level 6 felony)
- Possession of a syringe (level 6 felony)
- Possession of a controlled substance (level 6 felony)
- Possession of paraphernalia (misdemeanor)
Christopher’s wife, Jami Riddle, 52, of Columbus, was also booked for the preliminary charges of:
- Maintaining a common nuisance (level 6 felony)
- Possession of cocaine (level 6 felony)
- Possession of paraphernalia (misdemeanor)
Both remain in custody at the Bartholomew County Jail.
