COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Fire Department (CFD) responded to a possible gas leak on Tuesday morning. Firefighters were summoned to a “gas line struck” at Nexus Park on 25th Street at around 8:50 a.m. after contractors hit a three-inch gas line.
CFD crews entered the building and confirmed that no gas was detected in the interior of NexusPark.
CenterPoint Energy arrived on the scene and secured the leak within minutes. No evacuation was necessary and repairs are underway.
Portions of the building will be without gas service while the line is repaired.
