COLUMBUS, Ind. – Landmark Columbus Foundation invites the public to the former North Christian Church, 850 Tipton Ln., in Columbus, on Wednesday, July 10, from 4 to 8 p.m., to celebrate the release of the book American Modern: Community, Architecture, Columbus, Indiana.
In partnership with Heritage Fund, Indiana Humanities, and the Bartholomew County Public Library, the launch will feature the book’s author and Columbus native, Matt Shaw; photographer, Iwan Baan; and designer, Alex Lin.
Jasmine Yang, a recent graduate of Columbus North High School and the winner of the 2024 Betty F. Brown Awards for Instrumental Excellence, will provide live piano music. A cash bar by Swine and Dine will be available.
“American Modern” will be available for purchase by Columbus-based independent bookstore Viewpoint Books and there will also be limited-edition posters (while supplies last).
