GREENWOOD, Ind. – Center Grove High School (CGHS) plans to graduate 667 students this Sunday, at 2:00 p.m. in the high school’s Vandermeer Gymnasium. The ceremony will be broadcast on YouTube, here.
The Class of 2024 valedictorian is Ellen Nguyen, who ended her high school career with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.875. She will attend Purdue University to study aerospace engineering. The salutatorian for the Class of 2024 is Aarav Agrawal who finished with a GPA of 4.846. He also plans to attend Purdue University where he will study engineering.
Two CGHS students will attend service academies. Charlie LaRocca will attend the U.S. Air Force Academy and Audrey Annee will attend the U.S. Military Academy at West Point (Army).
Center Grove has several graduates who plan to serve in the military following graduation. Fifteen students plan to enlist in the Marine Corps., Army, Navy, Air Force, and Air National Guard.
CGHS Principal Dr. Jeff Henderson said, “The talents possessed by this class are diverse, have been a joy to witness throughout the last four years, and will serve them well as they pursue the next steps in their lives.”
Along with their high school diploma, 72 seniors in Center Grove’s Early College (EC) program will receive an associate of science degree in General Studies from Vincennes University. Sixty-eight of those seniors have earned college honors. Forty-two students will receive a 30-hour Indiana College Core certificate, which means they have met all requirements for general education courses at all state universities in Indiana.
