SEYMOUR, Ind. -The Jackson County Public Library (JCPL) Board of Trustees monthly meeting was held last Monday.
It was revealed that the library has been awarded a $3,000 Indiana Arts Commission (IAC) Creative Aging grant to hold weekly dance classes for adults aged 60 and older that will start this summer. The grant will pay for the IAC-approved instructor and dance/ballet shoes for up to 20 people.
Information Services Coordinator Kristi Gray reported on the “Adventure Begins at Your Library” summer learning program. It is available online at myjclibrary.
The board approved staff changes and changes to the circulation, information services, and interlibrary loan lending policies.
The next JCPL board meeting is on Monday, June 17, at the Seymour Library, at 4:30 p.m.
