FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and the Indiana Attorney General’s Office are holding a Scam and Fraud Education class for seniors next week.
The program will be held at the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office Training Center on Wednesday, September 27, from 1 to 3 p.m. The presentation is intended for representatives from organizations and facilities that cater to older residents.
Current trends in scams and fraud will be shared after seeing a rise in such cases at the local, state, and national levels.
Kim Harris, a representative from Attorney General Todd Rokita’s Office, will share tips on how to spot, how to avoid, and what to do if you fall victim to a scam.
