COLUMBUS, Ind. —Online applications for Heritage Fund scholarships to be awarded in 2024 are now available.
Completed applications are due January 10, by 4 p.m.
A listing of scholarships, eligibility requirements, and a link to the application website with deadlines are available here.
Heritage Fund awarded more than $600,000 in educational scholarships in 2023 to area students. They are available for graduating high school seniors, college students, graduate school students, and non-traditional students.
New scholarship opportunities this year include:
- Annette Siler Hungerford Memorial Scholarship for graduating seniors from Columbus North pursuing postsecondary education with a major in a math- or science-related field. Preference to students who demonstrate an interest in music.
- Bill & Norma Perry Scholarship for graduating seniors from Columbus East and North pursuing postsecondary education.
- Empowering Success Scholarship for graduating Hauser seniors and/or Bartholomew County residents of Flat Rock or Hawcreek townships pursuing postsecondary education.
- Zach Deak Golden Boot Scholarship for graduating seniors who have played varsity soccer at Columbus East High School and plan to attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution in pursuit of a technical certificate, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree.
Also:
- The Patrick Bowman Memorial Music Fund is currently available to U.S. residents up to age 35 pursuing an education or career in music. Preference will be given to guitar players, songwriters, and/or country music performers whose music most closely aligns with Patrick’s style of traditional country music. Applications are due at 4 p.m., on Oct. 27.
