COLUMBUS, Ind. — Friday, June 16, is the final day to submit nominations for the 2023 Jack Cramer Ideals of Athletic Competition Award, sponsored by the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department. The honor is in memory of Jack Cramer, a former local athlete who died at the age of 33 in 1978.
The award is presented annually to a male and a female, senior high school through adult-aged athlete, coach, or sports organizer. All nominees must live or work in Bartholomew County.
Sandy Freshour and Carrie Utterback were the recipients in the female category and Bob Arthur and Harry Crider in the male category in 2022.
