COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) was summoned to North U.S. 31 and East County Road 150S on Tuesday, in response to a traffic accident with an injury.
Authorities determined that Kyle Peele, 20, of Westport, was traveling on U.S. 31 when he failed to stop behind backed-up traffic due to construction. He struck the rear of a car driven by Patricia Stacy, 37, of North Vernon, causing a chain reaction that involved two other vehicles.
As a result of the collision, Stacy was transported to Columbus Regional Health with non-life threatening injuries. The drivers of the other three vehicles were not hurt in the crash.
