COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus East High School graduate Eliza Whiteside was announced Wednesday as the recipient of a $500 scholarship from the Association of Indiana Counties (AIC) and sponsored by SRI, Inc.
Eliza is the daughter of Benjamin and Jennifer Whiteside and the granddaughter of Bartholomew County Treasurer Barbara Hackman. Eligibility required applicants to be an employee of or the custodial child of an Indiana county employee of an AIC affiliate office. She attends Indiana University to double major in business and global studies.
Four Hoosier students were awarded $500 scholarships. Recipients are spring 2022 graduates from Indiana high schools who planned to attend a school of higher education in Indiana in the fall of 2022.
Whiteside will be honored at AIC’s annual conference and at an upcoming Bartholomew County Commissioners’ meeting.
