COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Police Department (CPD) arrested a local man with multiple warrants after a foot pursuit late Saturday afternoon. Officers say they observed a man take off running in the area of 15th and Chestnut Streets as a patrol vehicle approached him.
CPD chased the man on foot and apprehended him after he attempted to enter a residence in the 1500 block of California Street. The suspect was identified as Randall Garris, 49, of Columbus. Police later confirmed four warrants for his arrest.
Garris was taken to Bartholomew County Jail where he is facing new charges of resisting law enforcement.
