HARTSVILLE, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Parks Department and concerned citizens are seeking the public’s help in identifying those who vandalized Anderson Falls, between Columbus and Hartsville, earlier this week.
Parks department personnel have been investing a lot of time and energy at the park, trying to beautify it. Officials were in the process of reopening the restrooms that had been closed for years. But, on Tuesday, they discovered that vandals had overturned the portable restroom facility and defaced it and several areas of the park. including trees and walkways, with graffiti and other damage.
A local business, Overhead Door Company of South Central Indiana, is offering a $1000 reward for information “leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the vandalism.”
Anderson Falls is a 44-acre park that was dedicated as a State Nature Preserve in 2004.
