NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) responded to a dispute at a residence in Geneva Township last Saturday evening. Deputies arrived and spoke with the parties involved in the incident.
Further investigation, with the assistance of Jackson Jennings Community Corrections, led to the seizure of more than 65 grams of methamphetamine, scales, paraphernalia, and packaging material consistent with the sale and distribution of narcotics.
JCSO says six individuals were subsequently taken into custody and three children were removed from the residence by the Indiana Department of Child Services.
Arrested were Fredrick A Bailey, 50, Willowdale A. Anderson, 41, Michelle Helmling, 38, Stephen Allen Mowery, 50, Kyle Dewayne Allison, 32, and Alesia Marie Barnes, 37, all of North Vernon. They were booked for dealing meth, possession of meth, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia. Three of the suspects, Anderson, Barnes, and Allison, were also charged with neglect of a dependent.
