NORTH VERNON, Ind. – Investigators with the Indiana State Police-Versailles Post and Jennings County Sheriff’s Office have taken Kordell T. Nienaber, 27, of Elizabethtown, into custody on an initial charge of possession of child pornography.
On Tuesday, Jennings County Sheriff’s Office investigators received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. It indicated that an individual had been sharing and receiving pornographic images of children via a social media application.
The investigators, part of the Internet Crimes Against Children-Indiana Task Force, pinned down the Jennings County address where the images were shared and identified Nienaber as the suspect.
Investigators served a search warrant at Nienaber’s residence on Wednesday and allegedly found additional evidence of the possession and distribution of child pornography.
The suspect was arrested for Possession of Child Pornography (Level 4 Felony) and incarcerated at Jennings County Jail, pending an initial appearance in the Jennings County Circuit Court.
The investigation is ongoing and law enforcement says additional charges are possible.
