FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) announced Wednesday that fugitive David Lee Bailey, a convicted sex offender, was arrested Monday in West Virginia.
Last week, JCSO Sheriff Duane Burgess had requested the public’s help to locate Bailey who had failed to appear for his sentencing. He had been found guilty of sexual misconduct with a minor.
Sheriff Burgess said, “We are working to get David Lee Bailey back to Johnson County, Indiana. I thank the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marshals Office Service for their help in capturing this wanted man.”
