COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Health Department is collaborating with community partners for a Back to School Health Fair on Saturday, August 3, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Bartholomew County Health Department, 2625 Foxpointe Dr., in Columbus.
Back-to-school vaccinations will be available at the event. Those wishing to have their child receive the required vaccines must reserve a spot by calling 812-379-1555 (option 1). The first 80 students at the event will receive a voucher for a free back-to-school haircut.
On August 1, the Indiana Immunization Coalition will host a free vaccine clinic at YES Cinema on 4th Street from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for students and parents.
All CDC-recommended vaccines will be provided. Those wishing to participate should bring their insurance cards, and there will be no cost for those without insurance. Shingles and adult RSV vaccines often require a co-pay.
Walk-ins on the clinic day are welcome, but those under 18 must have parent/guardian consent.
