COLUMBUS, Ind. – Indiana University Columbus will host walk-in hours next week, July 22-26, for all new and prospective students to meet with admissions counselors.
“This week is about meeting students where they are — if they’re admitted for the fall and need help with their enrollment checklist; if they’re a high school junior/senior planning ahead; if they’re a college student thinking about transferring; or if they’re a working adult considering returning to college,” explained Jayne Morris, IU Columbus Assistant Director of Enrollment Management.
The week’s theme is “Plant Your Roots at IU Columbus.” Every attendee will receive seeds for a redbud tree, a tulip tree, planting cups, and soil, along with a flyer with growth instructions and wildflower seed paper. Registration is encouraged. Go to go.iu.edu/columbus-visit.
Students and families can learn about undergraduate and graduate programs, get hands-on assistance with the application process, take a campus tour, and have their questions answered. A Spanish-speaking counselor and materials are also available upon request.
Morris added, “Students have an accessible path to a degree from Indiana University in Columbus. There is no fee to apply to IU Columbus, and there’s still time to start in the fall 2024 semester.”
Participants should meet at the Admissions Office (inside Door 3 in the Campus Center Building at 4601 Central Ave.). If these dates/times aren’t convenient, prospective students can schedule a virtual or in-person appointment with an admissions counselor.
