HANOVER, Ind. – The Indiana State Police (ISP)-Versailles and Sellersburg Posts have arrested a 22-year-old Clark County man for felony rape following an incident on the Hanover College campus in the fall of 2023.
Last September, ISP detectives were contacted about an alleged sexual assault on the campus. Their investigation indicated that in the early morning of September 17, 2023, a male student, Jackson Kruer, 22, of Clarksville, and an adult female student left an on-campus party together.
Both students walked to the female’s dorm room where she was allegedly sexually assaulted by Kruer. The suspect then left the dorm and returned to his on-campus residence. The female victim immediately reported the assault to campus security. Indiana State Police detectives were soon contacted to investigate the incident.
After the investigation, the case was presented to the Jefferson County Prosecutor’s Office for review. As a result, a warrant for Rape (Level 3 Felony), was issued for Jackson Kruer.
He was arrested Tuesday in Clark County and transported to the Jefferson County Jail where he was incarcerated pending an initial appearance in court.
The Hanover College Security Department and the Jefferson County Prosecutor’s Office assisted ISP in its investigation.
