FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Johnson County Community Foundation (JCCF) recently extended the deadline for entries for the 2024 Color the County Mural Program to this Friday, May 31. Local artists, emerging artists, art students, and creative community members are invited to submit mural designs. There is no entry fee.
The program joins artists and communities in mural-making to create artworks that transform public spaces, neighborhood identities, and individual lives to improve the cultural fabric of Johnson County.
The selected designer will join forces with JCCF to implement the high-quality mural and the winning artist will be awarded $1200.
This year, the side of Tom’s Barbershop in Greenwood was selected as the mural’s home. The community painting day, where residents help bring the mural to life, will be announced soon.
