COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Fire Department (CFD) and Columbus Animal Care Services were summoned to Merchant Mile on the west side of town on Monday morning.
Eight ducklings needed a helping hand near Chevrolet of Columbus. Employees of the dealership saw the momma duck circling a storm drain and called for help.
The ducklings fell into the drain and momma duck was giving watch until the rescue team arrived.
CFD said all eight ducklings were soon safely removed and reconnected with the family.
