NORTH VERNON, Ind. — The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office reports that Jennings County SWAT members last week went to an address near the Jackson and Jennings County line with arrest warrants for a father, Brian K. Culp, 62, and his son, Brian C. Culp, 37.
SWAT members made contact with both men and were able to take them into custody without incident. While talking to convicted felon Brian K. Culp (father) inside the residence, deputies say they saw a loaded firearm in plain view and also detected the odor of illegal drugs.
During a search of the home, JCSO allegedly found drug-related items, eight firearms, 6.2 ounces of methamphetamine, and nearly two pounds of marijuana. Both men were arrested on several charges:
- Dealing in Methamphetamine – Level 2 Felony
- Warrant Charges of Dealing Meth – Level 3 Felony
- Warrant Charges of Dealing Meth x4 – Level 4 Felony
- Felon in Possession of a Firearm – Level 5 Felony
- Warrant Charges of Possession of Meth x2 – Level 5 Felony
- Warrant Charges of Possession of Meth x3 – Level 6 Felony
- Possession of a Legend Drug – Level 6 Felony
- Maintaining a Common Nuisance – Level 6 Felony
- Dealing Marijuana – Class A Misdemeanor
- Possession of Paraphernalia – Class C Misdemeanor
- Aiding, Inducing, or Causing Dealing Methamphetamine – Level 2 Felony
- Warrant Charges of Aiding, Inducing, or Causing Dealing Meth x2 – Level 4 Felony
- Maintaining a Common Nuisance – Level 6 Felony
