BROWNSTOWN, Ind. — Jackson County residents will soon have a new place to play, socialize, and exercise if this crowdfunding campaign reaches its goal of raising $15,000 by April 7.
If successful, the project led by the Brownstown Pickleball Association will receive a matching grant as part of the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority’s (IHCDA) CreatINg Places program.
Funds from this campaign will be used to construct four outdoor pickleball courts in the Brownstown town park.
“Join us in making pickleball a community affair,” urged Angela Sibrel of the Brownstown Pickleball Association. “The Brownstown Pickleball Association is thrilled to announce the launch of this crowdfunding campaign aimed at bringing public pickleball courts to the Brownstown town park.
Pickleball is a sport that promotes physical activity, camaraderie, and a sense of community. By supporting this campaign, you are not only contributing to the creation of a recreational space but also fostering a healthier and more connected community.”
Since the CreatINg Places program began in 2016, projects have raised more than $10.3 million in public funds and an additional $8.7 million in matching IHCDA funds.
