COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) is always looking for ways to collaborate and help other state and local agencies/departments.
One of those ways is to assist the Indiana Department of Transportation in its Damage to State Property Cost Recovery Program.
In 2023, the Damage to State Property Cost Recovery Program was able to collect $13.3 million from parties responsible for damages caused to assets and equipment of the Indiana Department of Transportation as a result of traffic accidents. Without this program, the cost of these repairs would fall to Hoosier taxpayers.
Bartholomew County Sheriff Chris Lane is extending a personal thank you to the following BCSO deputies for their participation in this program during the fourth quarter of 2023:
