BARGERSVILLE, Ind. – Thanks to their smoke alarm, a Bargersville couple was able to safely flee their residence after a fire broke out Friday morning.
The pair escaped the 5:25 a.m. blaze by crawling out of their bedroom window on Eastview Drive, according to the Bargersville Fire Department.
No injuries were reported but the home sustained severe smoke and fire damage.
The cause of the fire has been isolated to a Kerosene space heater, per fire officials.
