COLUMBUS, Ind. – Mayor-Elect Mary Ferdon announced Monday that Robin Hilber will serve as Director of Community Development for the City of Columbus effective January 1, 2024. Hilber joined the City in 2016 and has most recently served as Assistant Director of Community Development.
She will oversee the Housing Study and Community Needs Assessment, Code Enforcement, the Community Garden, and other community engagement projects.
“Robin has been a valuable member of the Community Development team for almost eight years,” stated Mayor-Elect Mary Ferdon. “Her experience, strategic ideas, and community engagement have been valuable to the City and I look forward to her continued service.”
Hilber serves on the boards of Just Friends Adult Day Center and Lincoln-Central Neighborhood Family Center and is a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. She is a graduate of Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
“I am honored to have been chosen as Director of Community Development for the City of Columbus and look forward to continuing with Mayor-elect Mary Ferdon in her administration. We have accomplished so much over the last eight years with Mayor Lienhoop at the helm,” said Hilber.
