VERNON, Ind. — Perceptions Mindfulness, Art and Yoga invites the public to an author reading by Elisabeth Hegmann of North Vernon.
She will be at Perceptions in Vernon on Saturday, October 21 at 2 p.m. and will be reading a portion of her recently published book “Modus Perfectus.” A question and answer session will follow the reading and copies of her book will be on hand for purchase.
Hegmann is a speculative fiction writer whose work has always been informed powerfully by music. She has a B.A. in creative writing from IU and an MFA in creative writing from NCSU. In addition to fantasy stories and novels, she writes librettos for musical stage works. Her award-winning work has been published in a variety of journals and produced on regional stages.
“Modus Perfectus,” published by Paper Angel Press, is available in hardcover, trade paperback, and digital formats through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Bookshop.org. The book’s stories center around characters in search of a mythical musical utopia, Modus Perfectus.
