COLUMBUS, Ind. – Heritage Fund Bartholomew County (HFBC) recently awarded $22,290 in grants from the Community Fund to local nonprofit organizations as part of its second-quarter grants cycle for 2022.
Through the generous support of community members, HFBC annually distributes approximately $600,000 to $700,000 in grants to local nonprofits from the unrestricted Community Fund.
Community Fund grants help HFBC to meet emerging needs in Bartholomew County in the areas of Youth Development; Downtown Vibrancy; Arts, Culture, Architecture and Design; and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
The second-quarter Community Fund Grant recipients are:
- Columbus Area Arts Council – $16,000 for the “Empowering and Connecting Creatives” program
- Just Friends Adult Day Services – $6,290 for National Adult Day Services Association conference
Other grants awarded in the second quarter include:
- Community Downtown, Inc. – $978 to support the downtown block party
- Pride Alliance Columbus, Indiana – $1,500 to sponsor the 2023 Columbus Pride Festival
- Landmark Columbus Foundation – $10,000 to support Rock the Block downtown event
