NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant earlier this month at an address in Country Squire Lakes related to an ongoing drug investigation. At the residence, eight adults and one infant were located inside. Suspected methamphetamine, syringes, prescription pills, marijuana, and paraphernalia-related items were also allegedly found.
Deputies say they also observed several components for the manufacturing of meth within the garage area, including methamphetamine cook instructions and a supply list. The Indiana State Police Meth Suppression Team collected meth lab evidence.
Due to the drugs and unsatisfactory living conditions, the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS) was requested for the infant.
The Indiana State Police Meth Suppression Team also assisted and as a result of the investigation, all eight of the adults were taken into custody without incident. The infant was found to be a child in need of services and was temporarily placed into the custody of DCS and then to a relative.
The address searched is well known by the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office as a nuisance location with over 40 calls for service at the residence including several drug-related calls. The same house was subject to a drug-related search warrant in December 2022, which also resulted in arrests.
