COLUMBUS, Ind. – Our Hospice of South Central Indiana is congratulating Nurse Practitioner, Eileen DeWire, RN, DNP, on recently receiving her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). Steph Cain, Our Hospice president, said, “This is a tremendous accomplishment and a testament to her hard work and dedication to the field of nursing.”
DeWire joined Our Hospice in 2014 as an RN and earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner in 2016. She is certified in Hospice and Palliative Care and is currently a Nurse Practitioner caring for Our Hospice patients.
“Eileen demonstrates such compassion for the patients and families under her care. She provides a high level of medical expertise while demonstrating empathy and kindness,” added Cain.
A DNP is a terminal degree (meaning highest level) in nursing practice that prepares nurses for leadership roles in clinical practice, education, research, and administration. DeWire’s achievement in earning this degree not only demonstrates her expertise and commitment to advancing the field of nursing but also positions her to make a significant impact on the patients and families cared for by Our Hospice and Palliative Care.
