FRANKLIN, Ind. – John Bragg, 45, was arrested in Beaufort, North Carolina Friday morning after a cooperative investigation between the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) and the Beaufort Police Department. Authorities had been searching for Bragg for months.
Prosecutors in Johnson County filed fraud and theft charges against Bragg last October after JCSO says he was allegedly taking money from customers at his restoration shop in Whiteland and then not performing the work promised on their vehicles.
Bragg is awaiting extradition to Johnson County. He also has warrants in Florida and West Virginia.
