COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Indiana Commission for Higher Education (CHE) is coming to Columbus to discuss the state’s decreased college attendance and what’s causing it. The event, hosted by IUPUC and AirPark Columbus College Campus partners, is this Friday, March 3, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the Columbus Learning Center.
The discussion will include research findings on the perceived value of higher education, which is one factor keeping Indiana students from attending postsecondary education. CHE’s Charlee Beasor and Allison Kuehr lead the proceedings. Both are currently focused on understanding Hoosier attitudes about higher education and leading a campaign to promote the value of education and training beyond high school.
The March 3 seminar is free and open to the public. No registration is required. The Columbus Learning Center is located at 4555 Central Ave.
