SEYMOUR, Ind. – Four Marion County women were arrested Tuesday evening for stealing liquor in Seymour.
The Seymour Police Department (SPD) first received a report of a theft from Northside Liquors at around 7:55 p.m. on Tuesday. Shortly after 8 p.m., another theft was called in from Vicks Liquors.
As both investigations developed, it was quickly discovered that the same suspects were responsible for each incident. Officers began patrolling in the areas of local liquor stores in search of the getaway vehicle.
They soon located a car that matched the description in the parking lot of Busy Bee Liquors. SPD apprehended all four suspects. The quartet was identified as Dea Anderson, 21, Donnicia Barnett, 23, Daisha Sargent, 21, and Porcsha Germany, 28, all of Indianapolis.
The suspects were allegedly found to have also stolen merchandise from Busy Bee Liquors. While investigating these three incidents, police received another call about merchandise pilfered from CVS which was found to be related to the others.
In total, officers recovered 55 bottles of a variety of brands and types of alcohol amounting to over $3,300. All items recovered were processed and later returned to the businesses.
