COLUMBUS, Ind. – Ignite Columbus, sponsored by German American Bank, returns on November 3, at Helen Haddad Hall, 315 Franklin St. The Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce is once again seeking individuals to present their enlightening and innovative ideas.
The fast-paced idea pitch competition has become an international phenomenon. Speakers build their presentations with 20 slides, each of which is shown for 15 seconds. Cash prizes are awarded to the winners.
The last Ignite event in April spawned two business startups, The Hive and Transcriptly.
Ignite Columbus is focused on having a fun event with stimulating presentations and rewarding the presenter’s desire to improve the Columbus community. There are two categories:
- I) “Most Innovative” – Competitors pitch ideas to the panel of judges for funding. Creativity is key.
- II) “Most Enlightening” – Competitors teach the audience something in a fun, entertaining way.
