COLUMBUS, Ind. — Columbus Regional Health has welcomed a new neurologist, Xabier Beristain M.D., to their active medical staff. Dr. Beristain is board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology.
He received his medical degree from the University of the Basque Country, Spain in 1989. He came to Chicago in February 1994 to do research at the University of Illinois at Chicago for two years. Dr. Beristain completed an internship at Ball Memorial Hospital and a residency in Neurology at Indiana University in Indianapolis.
He later was a part of the faculty at Indiana University Department of Neurology where he was an assistant professor for almost three years, until July 2004.
Dr. Beristain has joined the practice of Neurology and Sleep Sciences. He is fluent in Basque, Spanish, and English. He is accepting new patients. To make an appointment, go here.
