SEYMOUR, Ind. – The 20-year-old driver of a vehicle involved in a crash two months ago that resulted in the passengers of the vehicle being seriously injured was recently arrested on charges related to the accident.
On March 15, a car being driven by Dakota S. Mott, of Seymour, crashed in the 6600 block of North County Road 760E, just north of Seymour. Three passengers, Isaiah Bogard, 15, Kathryn Roy, 17, and Zackery Stout, 18, were ejected from the vehicle as it rolled over. All three sustained serious injuries.
The investigation by troopers with the Indiana State Police included having Mott submit to toxicology tests. The car’s crash data recorder was also analyzed.
Toxicology results showed Mott was operating under the influence of THC (marijuana). The examination of the vehicle indicated it was traveling in excess of 95 mph at the time of the accident.
Dakota Mott was charged with operating while intoxicated resulting in serious bodily injury and reckless driving resulting in serious bodily injury. She was transported to Jackson County Jail.
