BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind – A Clifford man was acquitted of multiple child molestation charges. The trial of 57-year-old Bret Caldwell lasted 7 days. The jury found him not guilty on two level 1 felony counts of child molestation and two level 4 felony counts of sexual misconduct with a minor.
Caldwell was originally arrested on the charges in May of 2020 following a lengthy investigation by the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department.
