COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Area Arts Council (CAAC) announced last Wednesday that Kathryn Armstrong, after six years as its executive director, will step down from her role effective May 27.
Armstrong has accepted a position as the Director of Development with Ox-Bow School of Art and Artists’ Residency in Saugatuck, Michigan. She joined CAAC in 2016 after leaving a faculty instructor position at the Herron School of Art and Design.
“Although this was not an easy decision, I am confident that the Arts Council is well-positioned for new leadership. The last six years have been transformative for me, both professionally and personally, and I believe it’s been transformational for the arts in Columbus,” said Armstrong.
In addition to her new role with Ox-Bow, she is excited to be closer to family and to re-start her personal creative practice.
