SEYMOUR, Ind. – The Indiana State Police (ISP) are investigating a Tuesday afternoon single-vehicle crash near Seymour that resulted in all four occupants being hurt. Two victims were airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital with serious and possibly life-threatening injuries. The accident happened in the 6600 block of North County Road 760E, at around 4:30 p.m.
The ISP Crash Reconstruction Team indicated that Dakota S. Mott, 20, of Seymour, was driving south on County Road 760E and lost control of the car. It left the roadway and rolled several times before stopping. Three passengers, Isaiah Bogard, 15, Zackery Stout, 18, and Kathryn Roy, 17, all of Seymour, were ejected from the vehicle.
Mott was transported to Schneck Medical Center for treatment. Bogard was flown to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. Stout was seriously injured and taken by ambulance to an Indianapolis hospital. Roy was flown to an Indianapolis hospital with serious injuries.
The investigation is ongoing, but initially, it is believed that speed may have been a factor.
