VERNON, Ind. – Jeff Walker, Community Wellness Coordinator at Purdue Extention, in Vernon, was notified this week that his team’s hard work has paid off.
The Indiana Department of Health said that Jennings County is receiving a state grant from the 2022 Bicycle and Pedestrian Planning Grant Program. The funding is a maximum of $20,000, with a dollar-for-dollar local match.
The plan is to build a community-wide bike and pedestrian path that will promote health and enable connectivity to key destinations within the county.
