COLUMBUS, Ind. – Financial aid professionals are volunteering at IUPUC and 39 other sites around the state to help college-bound students and their families open the door to financial aid during College Goal Sunday.
The event at IUPUC, 4601 Central Ave., in Columbus, is this Sunday, February 27, beginning at 2 p.m.
The free program assists Indiana students in filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA form is required for students to be considered for federal and state grants, scholarships, and federal student loans at most colleges and vocational schools nationwide.
“Last year, Indiana high school graduates missed out on $65 million in grants by not filing the FAFSA,” said Commissioner for Higher Education Teresa Lubbers. “If you are considering education beyond high school, filing the FAFSA is the best way to ensure you are receiving available financial aid.
