COLUMBUS, Ind. – Another successful year is in the books for the Columbus Firemen’s Cheer Fund. For the 91st time, the all-volunteer organization made sure some of the less fortunate families in Bartholomew County got some Christmas cheer to brighten their holidays.
Volunteer drivers of trucks, SUVs, and vans lined up Saturday morning at the Cheer Fund facility, loaded up the presents, and then delivered the gifts to nearly 1000 kids in the community.
When the delivery day was over, co-chairs Justin Sims, Ben Noblitt, and Cory Hampton immediately decided that they would lead the way again next year.
Officials ask that if you did not receive your gifts, do not call 911 and clog up emergency lines. The Cheer Fund will be contact you soon to make arrangements to get your Christmas presents to you.
The Cheer Fund thanks everyone on the committee and all of the volunteers for their support in 2021.
