COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Firemen’s Cheer Fund crew has been working hard all year collecting and inventorying toys and gifts for this year’s Christmas season, and that will continue for the next two weeks.
However, last Friday night was more of a fun event for the volunteers and their families. Family Night was spent packing all of the gifts for less-fortunate kids in Bartholomew County. Ben Noblitt said, “Normally we work, but one evening each year we get to play.”
Delivery Day is Saturday, December 18, starting at 8 a.m. If you are planning to help deliver the gifts to the children, the Cheer Fund asks that you pick up the presents on Verhulst Street, just east of the Ivy Tech/IUPUC campus. Check out the map here.
