COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Police Department (CPD) is hosting a free children’s car seat safety check this Tuesday, November 2. The event is sponsored by Dorel Juvenile Group and Safe Kids Bartholomew County.
Stop by the CPD parking lot at Columbus City Hall, 123 Washington St., from 1 to 3 p.m. Certified child passenger safety technicians will be at the event for each seat check to inspect and assist parents and caregivers in installing correctly all car seats, regardless of the brand and model.
Officials say if, at all possible, you should bring your child with you to the 15-minute car seat safety check.
