NORTH VERNON, Ind. – North Vernon Mainstreet is hoping to transform the downtown district this Halloween season through a decorating contest, “Autumn Stroll.”
The promotion will take place throughout October for any interested business or organization and encourages them to decorate storefronts with a Halloween theme. It all leads up to the city’s “Sweet Street” event, on October 31, where winners will be chosen.
Prizes will be given away for three different categories, including the Mayor’s Choice Award, People’s Choice Award, and Judge’s Choice award.
This year’s decorating theme is “Brown Sugar, Pumpkin Spice, and Everything Nice.”
