COLUMBUS, Ind. – A local Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office deputy has been honored by the state of Indiana.
Governor Eric Holcomb and Indiana Criminal Justice Institute Executive Director Devon McDonald recently presented 65 Indiana law enforcement officers with the Traffic Safety All-Star Award for their work to stop impaired driving.
To qualify, an officer must have made at least 20 OWI arrests and participated in one of the state’s targeted enforcement campaigns. The individuals recognized made 3,163 OWI arrests across Indiana in 2020.
Among those honored with the Traffic Safety All-Star Award was BCSO deputy Grant Carlson.
