FRANKLIN, Ind. – Franklin Community Schools (FCS) announced Wednesday that Dr. David Clendening has been named the District V Superintendent of the Year by the Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents. He joined FCS in 2009.
Besides heading the school system, his community activities include serving on the Franklin Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club.
Assistant superintendent Dr. Brooke Worland said, “As Dr. Clendening begins his 13th year leading FCS, he remains rooted in his commitment to our primary guiding principle of individual student growth. Through communication and collaboration, he is determined to make FCS the best learning community it can be.”
Winners are selected by other superintendents in their district who consider the qualifications and accomplishments of area colleagues and their instructional leadership.
