GREENWOOD, Ind. – A Silver Alert was issued over the weekend for a missing 88-year-old Greenwood man. Howard Hefley disappeared from his home at around 3:15 a.m. on Sunday. Authorities said he was possibly suffering from a form of dementia.
The Greenwood Police Department had originally asked residents in the Northern Park area and also those in the Sherman Drive and Old Meridian Street vicinity to be on the lookout for Hefley.
On Sunday afternoon, police announced that Hefley had been found, and was safe.
