NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The )Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is hosting a public hearing on Wednesday, May 26, at Elsner Hall at the North Vernon Education and Training Center, 1200 West O & M Ave., beginning at 6 p.m. INDOT is developing plans for the proposed State Road 7 Intersection Improvements and Small Structure Replacement project, in Queensville, Jennings County. The purpose of the project is to address current roadway deficiencies and reduce the likelihood of crashes at the intersections of County Road 275W, Country Squire Boulevard, and the Dollar General entrance along S.R. 7.
The posted speed limit will decrease to 50 mph before or during construction. C.R. 275W would be closed to S.R. 7. Left-turn lanes will be installed on northbound S.R. 7 for Country Squire Boulevard and the entrance to the Dollar General store. There will be a short-term closure of S.R. 7.
