INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announced Thursday that 218 cities, towns, and counties will receive a combined $100.2 million in state matching funds for local road projects through the Community Crossings Matching Grant Fund Program, a part of the “Next Level Roads” program.
Locally, Bartholomew County receives $991,000, Columbus gets $689,000, Franklin is awarded $1 million, Seymour receives $108,000, and both Jackson and Jennings Counties get $1 million each.
The Community Crossings Matching Grants are used to fund up to 50% of the construction of projects or the purchasing of materials. The grant dollars improve Indiana’s infrastructure, bring about economic development, and create jobs.
